Plantronics Voyager 4210 UC Bluetooth Headset USB A
Due into stock early-mid December. Pre-order now to be the among the 1st in Australia to have one.
Plantronics have finally produced a mono 'headphones' headband style headset for use with computer and mobile. It comes with a USB dongle for a reliable connection with PC or Mac and will Bluetooth directly to a mobile phone. You can switch seamlessly between devices.
There are a few versions of the 4200 UC headsets. 4210 is mono, You are looking at the 4210.There's also a 4220-duo. In addition each model has the option of a standard USB dongle (aka USB A) or the newer USB C. You're looking at the USB-A model. You will probably know if your device takes USB C. It's not the same as micro USB. If you're not aware of this, the standard USB A will be the norm. All models are compatible with PC and Mac applications and are also optimised for use with Skype for Business & Microsoft Teams (if you don't know what they are, don't stress, they don't affect your headset!
The 4200 series are the entry level options in the Plantronics Bluetooth UC range. They have a comfortable wide, slightly padded headband, and soft large leatherette ear cushions to make them a pleasure a wear.
Importantly they have a long and flexible microphone. Its a plain fact that the closer a mic is to your lips, the better it picks up your voice. So you can expect crystal clear conversations in all but the noisiest of environments. The earcup has a useful and 'obvious' (according to our sources at Plantronics) online indicator light to tell colleagues when you're busy on a call.
the 4200 UC series integrate with Plantronics' Manager Pro programme (available separately) . Generally for organisations of 100+, it helps IT Managers track usage, location and initiate en masse software updates (and alot more!)
You'll get voice alerts for remaining talk time, connection and mute status but for any voice control from you will need to use Siri, Cortana or other programmes to control your mobile. Battery life is a great 12 hours talk time and 15 hours for music (up to).
