Detailed Sound Everywhere.
The driving force of the IE 300 is a refined version of our Extra Wide Band (XWB) 7mm transducer, revered for its breathtaking acoustic performance in a deceptively compact package. A new blend of materials in the diaphragm improves its rest-and-response times for greater accuracy throughout the frequency spectrum. When resonances are minimized, the enhanced speed brings clarity to higher frequencies, subtly warm mids, and clean bass response with low harmonic distortion. Transients are tight without harsh frequency smearing, letting vocals retain their silky character directly from the master recording to your mind. The XWB transducers reproduce sound that is completely unique to the Sennheiser audiophile legacy—which is no surprise as they are developed and manufactured with exacting precision at our world-class facility in Germany. Although diminutive in size, its output sounds larger-than-life, offering intimate access to your favorite tracks.
Air Traffic Control
A key element of the IE 300’s balanced acoustic performance is the back volume—a miniature chamber-within-a-chamber that helps manage the flow of air behind the transducer. The direction and overall volume of air is controlled with precision as it travels through and exits the transducer system, delivering a discernibly defined bass- and mid-range experience. We further observed a natural increase in the ear canal’s resonant frequency when sealed by an ear tip adapter. The reduced air volume produced a masking effect that obscured critical details within the source signal. A frequency absorbing resonator chamber was applied to reveal those subtle nuances once again. This collection of technologies works together in perfect harmony, establishing the IE 300 as a go-to benchmark earphone when sound quality matters.
In-Ear Peace
The IE 300 ensures that you can enjoy a thrilling hi-fi experience wherever you are. Imagine having a personal, expertly tuned listening room at your command—ready to provide sonic bliss at a moment’s notice. Because the IE 300 shields you from ambient noise, your music stays in control of every listening session. The reduction of ambient noise diminishes ear-fatigue for better, longer listening sessions in practically any location you could dream up.
Professionally inspired
Included with the IE 300 are (3) sizes of silicone ear tips and (3) sizes of memory foam ear tips—the latter conform to the unique shape of your ear canal for maximum noise-isolating performance. In fact, the IE 300’s design was inspired by performing musicians and their need for universal in-ear monitoring systems with an enduring, comfortable fit. Though you may never physically set foot on a live performance stage, your audiophile ear will appreciate the IE 300’s ability to keep up with your lifestyle on the move.
It’s All About Connection
Outfitting the IE 300 with a detachable cable was an obvious choice; however, audiophile-grade sound demands a matching level of mechanical reliability. Our engineers were tasked with delivering peerlessly dependable compact earphones that could withstand any wear and impact. To achieve this, they started with gold-plated Fidelity+ MMCX connectors—known for their rotational durability and contact integrity—and seated each within a recessed, 4.8mm-wide socket beneath the housing's surface. This yields outstanding strain relief and stability, providing users with the utmost confidence that their IE 300 will always be ready to perform—especially when combined with our para-aramid reinforced cable rated for thousands of bend cycles. A stereo 3.5mm / ?-inch plug offers the standard connection to digital audio players, headphone amp-DAC combos, laptops, mobile phones, audio interfaces—the number of devices whose sound is waiting to be rediscovered is endless. Balanced 2.5mm and balanced 4.4mm terminated cables will be available (sold separately), opening access to the new generation of balanced output devices popular in the audiophile community.
