Discover the timeless beauty of handcrafted greenstone
Mountain Jade are a family-run business who have dedicated their lives to crafting greenstone (pounamu) jewellery by hand here in New Zealand. As industry leaders in the creation of jade carvings, Mountain Jade carves necklaces, earrings, bangles and art based on Maori design from both local and international jade.
Connected to the jade they use, the team loves spending time in the workshop creating something from nothing, ensuring that each piece is crafted to their own high standards.

Accuracy of Product Descriptions
We do our best to ensure all information displayed is accurate and up to date, however we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of product descriptions, photographs or pricing. Measurements may vary from those listed. In some instances, the product photographed may be a marginally different stone to that for sale.
If a product that you have purchased is not as described, you may return that product to us in an unused condition on the day of purchase, and we will provide a refund for the product to you.
Products displayed are only available for purchase on The Mall, though we may have similar products or variations of the same product available in our physical store.
Mountain Jade may change or discontinue products at any time without any prior notice to you.
If you have placed an order for a product that is no longer available (or becomes unavailable), The Mall (on behalf of Mountain Jade) will advise you of this and we will provide you with a refund.
All prices are in New Zealand dollars and are exclusive of goods and services tax (“GST”). We may change the prices at any time; however, we will always honour the price of the product at the time of purchase.
We do not replace carvings that have broken due to bangs, knocks, or drops. In very rare cases, a fragile piece may break, in which case we will assess the fracture and replace the piece for you if we determine this was the fault of the design or weakness in the stone.
We never repair broken carvings.
Should your carving be on a lashed cord and this cord wears out after less than three months, we will replace it. Our silver- and gold-plated chains will eventually tarnish. We do not replace plated chains due to tarnishing. See care instructions.
We are happy to refund any faulty item(s) with proof of purchase.
We accept exchanges and change of mind refunds with proof or purchase on the day of collection only. Once you have signed for and collected your item/s at The Collection Point, please visit the Mountain Jade store in terminal to process the refund or exchange (only on Departures).
We recommend wearing your jade, as the oils from your skin soak into the carving which helps maintain sheen. If you wear it infrequently and notice 'whiter' dried areas forming on the carving, apply an odourless oil (canola is good) for 5-10 minutes then dry with a paper towel.
When wearing your jade necklace, keep the cord short or tuck into clothing, to avoid swinging it out from your body where it may hit hard surfaces or walls. Don't drop or bang it on a hard surface, as it will break.
Silver or gold will tarnish over time as it reacts with the elements in the air and through oxidisation. This results in a browning, dulling, or blackening of the metal. Tarnishing can be removed by cleaning with a jewellery wipe or regular care with soap and water.
You can wear your necklace in shower as neither soap nor water will affect it negatively.
