Ricoh GR IIIx Digital Camera - Urban Edition - 24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor- GR Engine 6- 40mm f/2.8 Lens (35mm Equivalent)- 3-Axis Shake Reduction System- 3" 1.037m-Dot Touchscreen LCD- Full HD 1080/60p Video Recording- Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi- Hybrid AF System, Macro Mode- 50mm and 71mm Focal Length Crop Modes- Additional New Features Bustling City Streets, Glittering Neon Lights Backs Of People Hurrying By Capture the ever-changing present with the special GR Inspired by street photographers who are in their element on the asphalt pavement, the metallic gray body has a unique texture created through repeated and complex painting processes. It's smooth but enables excellent grip, a combination of design and functionality. The navy blue ring cap is specially designed to evoke the impression of an azure sky reflected in a puddle after a rain, or neon lights of a city that never sleeps and their reflections. Various New Functions Have Been Added Snap Distance Priority Mode A new exposure mode, "Snap Distance Priority Mode" has been installed. By setting the snapshot distance and depth of field (DOF) in advance, you can instantly recall the setting. DOF3, in particular, sets the f-stop so that the depth of field is close to pan-focus, allowing you to enjoy faster shooting. High-speed drive, with a maximum speed of approximately 12 images per second "Auto-area AF (Center)" has been added to the the Focus. Auto-area AF works around the center of the frame (9 areas) instead of the entire frame. This prevents the camera from focusing on unintended areas such as the ground in front of you, allowing you more control of your street snaps. Other additional features The Urban Edition features a special power-off graphic with a street-like background and special logo. - "Enable AF" has been added to the Shutter Button Setting. It is now possible, when the shutter button is pressed halfway, only the AF is locked without locking the AE.- "3.5m" has been added to the Snap Focus Distance.- Long tapping on the playback screen can now recall the Playback Settings. The GR Lens Achieves Sharp Imaging With High Resolution And High Contrast The GR lens has been imbued with our unique optical technology that aims to always provide high image quality. The GR IIIx uses a newly developed optical system consisting of 7 elements 5 groups with a new focal length of 26.1 mm (approx. 40 mm in 35 mm equivalent focal length). High-refractive index low-dispersion glass lenses and aspherical high-precision molded glass lenses are optimally placed in the lens construction according to each model's optical system to suppress optical distortion and chromatic aberration to the absolute limit, delivering a high level of sharpness. This results in images that are sharp and clear across the entire frame even from the full aperture setting. The Detailed Descriptive Power Of The 24.2 M Large APS-C Format Image Sensor GR IIIx is equipped with a high-resolution, wide dynamic range APS-C format CMOS image sensor (approx. 24.24 effective megapixels). High resolution sensor which can handle a large size print and an anti-aliasing (AA) filterless construction that utilizes the characteristics of the high-resolution lens for high-definition detail reproduction. Both the image sensor and lens are also optimized for the best possible image quality. Advanced Image Processing and Responsiveness. Meet the latest GR ENGINE 6 The imaging processor on GR III/GR IIIx is the latest GR ENGINE 6. It elevates the essential high image quality performance of the GR for a greater level of detail. Faster processing makes the combination of high resolution sensor and multi-tone 14-bit RAW possible. This also contributes to improved responsiveness and functionality for autofocus and movie.
