Grab the best of life. Lightweight, compact and sturdily built, the Sony a6400 mirrorless body is loaded with impressive capabilities and features. The a6400 delivers speedy performance and a range of features you'd expect from a full-frame model. Whether you're taking still shots or movies, creative compositions or everyday selfie shots, you'll enjoy beautiful images that you'll want to share, on the go.
Innovation in service to your creativity Unleash your creative potential with high-level performance and advanced features such as AI-powered Real-time Eye AF; new, high-precision Real-time Tracking; high-speed continuous shooting and 4K HDR (HLG) 1 2 movie-shooting.
Reliable AF for great action shots The camera's innovative AF quickly and reliably detects the position of the subject and then tracks the subject's motion, keeping it in sharp focus.
425 phase-detection AF points Densely distributed focus points blanket around 84% of the image area, aiding subject capture.
Fast continuous shooting with AF/AE at up to 11fps Never miss a moment of the action thanks to fast internal processing and high-capacity buffer memory. Fire off shots at up to 11fps with after-view or 8fps4 for live-view, with minimal display lag, and take up to around 116 shots in JPEG (Standard) or 46 shots in compressed RAW format in one continuous burst.
Silent continuous shooting at up to 8fps When your shoot calls for absolute quiet, such as when you're photographing a live performance, silent shooting with no shutter noise allows shooting at up to 8fps with AF/AE tracking, even in AF-C mode, with Real-time Eye AF, or with Real-time Tracking, expanding your range of shooting options.
Real-time Tracking reliably maintains focus For sporting events and other situations where your subjects are moving quickly, keeping them in constant focus can make all the difference between catching an important, dramatic moment or missing it.
A 24.2-megapixel sensor plus enhanced image-processing engine The APS-C sensor features copper wiring and enhanced circuit processing that aid in boosting light collection efficiency. In conjunction with the image-processing engine, this helps achieve superior image resolution and more natural depiction of textures.

As an international traveller you are entitled to bring a certain amount/value of goods that are free of Customs duty and exempt Goods and Services tax (GST) into New Zealand. This is called your duty free allowance and personal goods concession. It is important to review these for any purchases you make on The Mall.
Your duty free allowance entitles you to bring into New Zealand the following quantities of alcohol products free of customs duty and GST provided you are over 17 years of age. You do need to be 18 years or over to purchase.
- Up to six bottles (4.5 litres) of wine, champagne, port or sherry or
- Up to twelve cans (4.5 litres) of beer
- And three bottles (or other containers) each containing not more than 1125ml of spirits, liqueur, or other spirituous beverages
Goods other than alcohol and tobacco, whether purchased overseas or purchased duty free in New Zealand, that have a combined total value not exceeding NZ$700 may also be brought as part of your personal goods concession.
When travelling overseas there are legal limits on the amount of duty free alcohol and other goods you can take with you. These amounts will vary depending on the country you are flying into. We always recommend you check the latest limits and exemptions.
