Sound of nature - Natural Solid Wood Shell
The FiiO FT1 offers North American walnut / beech wood ear shells . Thanks to the use of natural solid wood, the smooth grain and delicate texture immerse you in the natural beauty of the original material, effectively reducing cavity resonance and minimizing standing waves, ensuring that the grain of each wooden ear shell is uniquely yours.
[1]North American walnut comes from high-latitude regions in North America and is known for its beautiful and elegant grain, warm and delicate texture. It is commonly used in high-end products like yachts, luxury cars, and custom furniture, making it a rare and precious wood.
[1]Beech wood is native to China and is characterized by its dense and hard material, strong corrosion resistance, and beautiful grain, making it a top choice in industries such as boats, vehicles, furniture, and instruments.
Endless possibilities, thanks to a solid foundation 60mm large dynamic driver
The FIIO FT1 features a newly developed second-generation 60mm large dynamic driver, meticulously designed specifically for FIIO’s first closed-back over-ear headphones. Its larger-than-average driver size enhances energy conversion efficiency and provides a solid foundation for potent bass. Additionally, the increased driver size results in lower low-frequency resonance points, allowing for deeper bass, dynamic sound, and an overall authoritative sound.
Nanowood fiber composite diaphragm - Technology of manufacturing
The FIIO FT1’s diaphragm primarily consists of carefully selected wood fibers, based on 90-year-old spruce wood from Northern Europe, which is a top-grade raw material for musical instruments and fiber products, known for its clear sound and natural tone. Spruce wood undergoes a series of processes, including soaking, cooking, and beating, to create specific wood pulp. To meet acoustic toughness requirements, a precise proportion of carbon fiber material is added. The diaphragm then undergoes another round of baking and molding, resulting in a final thickness of approximately 0.1mm, lightweight and tough. To fully unleash the acoustic performance of the nanowood fibers, light PU material with high internal resistance is utilized for the suspension gasket, improving diaphragm compliance, and enhancing low-frequency elasticity, and strengthening the density of vocals from the source of the sound, thus resulting in warm, lush vocals.

Art of sound
The FIIO FT1, in alignment with its overall acoustic design and high-level listening experience, employs a nanowood fiber composite diaphragm [2]. This diaphragm is composed of carefully selected wood fibers combined with a lightweight PU (polyurethane) suspension gasket. It exhibits excellent high-frequency extension and transient response, resulting in clean, precise sound with clear imaging tone, and providing you with unique sweet, rich, and high-density mid-frequency vocals. This driver works in harmony with the FT1’s other acoustic design elements for a specially-tuned frequency response for a pure and pleasant sonic experience. It is as if the elegant aesthetics were translated perfectly into beautiful sound.
[2] The FIIO FT1’s nanowood fiber diaphragm draws inspiration from the acoustic principles of paper cone speakers. They possess unique characteristics - warm tonality, delicate emotion, and enduring appeal - that other acoustic materials lack. It’s no wonder that paper diaphragms are still favored for use in high-end audio products.
Cutting-edge technology, innovative applications W-shaped suspension gasket
The FIIO FT1, as the first closed-back over-ear headphones from FIIO, pioneers a new generation of in-house acoustic technology —the W-shaped suspension gasket. The 25mm diameter voice coil is larger compared to similar models and has been specifically optimized and tuned. Compared to typical similarly sized diaphragms, the W-shaped diaphragm achieves a 25.8% increase in effective vibrating area, allowing it to store more energy reserves. The FT1’s diaphragm, with a hard dome and compliant suspension gasket, allows the 25mm large diameter voice coil 25mm large diameter voice coil to directly drive the stiffer dome region. This setup minimizes vibration losses between different materials and reduces distortion caused by driver breakup, allowing the FT1 to deliver refined sound.
- Effective vibration area increased by 25.8%
Lighter, stronger Ultra-fine Japanese CCAW voice coil
To ensure robust and high-quality sound, the FIIO FT1 utilizes a specially imported Japanese ultra-fine CCAW (Copper-Clad Aluminum Wire) voice coil with a diameter of up to 25mm. A longer voice coil copper wire can directly enhance transducer efficiency and drive capacity, improving transient response and resulting in purer, more comfortable sound. Each individual wire core in the CCAW coil has a diameter of approximately 0.035mm, as thin as a hair. Additionally, the FT1’s voice coil frame employs lightweight KSV (Kapton), which also helps to significantly reduce the overall diaphragm mass. The result is enhanced response speed and minimized reverberation.
- Each voice coil diameter about 0.035mm
- Voice coil diameter up to 25mm
-26dB sound insulation Closed-back design
The FT1, as FIIO’s first closed-back over-ear headphones, incorporates a variety of features that specifically enhance the closed-back listening experience. A series of sound insulation components[3] in the FT1 effectively reduce ambient noise, including external voices and environmental sounds, by up to 26dB[4]. Whether you’re commuting, editing recordings, working in an office, or gaming, the FT1 allows you to immerse yourself in a high-fidelity audio world. It is a truly great-sounding, all-rounder set of headphones.
One headphone, two worlds U-shaped sound damping tube for enhanced noise attenuation - Silence on one side; vibrancy on the other; Professional acoustics, not limited to one aspect.
The U-shaped sound damping tube specifically developed for the FIIO FT1 not only enhances passive noise attenuation but also allows sound energy to pass through a specific length and angle of the flute, increasing air viscosity and reducing cavity resonance frequency. This further enhances bass extension. You’ll distinctly feel the air movement and the focused power of drums and strings.
Ear-parallel design Conical baffle plate
Striving for excellent sound has always been the essence of HiFi. The development team, based on the characteristics of the FT1 dynamic drivers, designed a conical baffle plate for it. This device allows the entire driver to be positioned parallel to the human ear, breaking up sound convergence and avoiding standing waves. As a result, there is minimal high-frequency attenuation for truly HiFi audio quality.
Unlock great sound, anytime anywhere 32O high-sensitivity design
The FIIO FT1 aims to provide users with a high-quality HiFi experience across various usage scenarios. To achieve this, the FT1 features a low impedance design of 32O and boasts acoustic sensitivity metrics of 113dB/Vrms @ 1kHz (equivalent to 98dB/mW @ 1kHz). This significantly reduces the demand for driving power, allowing you to effortlessly enjoy excellent sound quality.
